"I was first introduced to rowing when my older sister traded in her ballet slippers for an oar. Like any little sister, I wanted to follow in her footsteps and began rowing at Community Rowing Inc. I appreciated the teamwork and focus. Training with the Cambridge Boat Club masters in high school fuelled my passion for sculling. While competing for Brown University she was the rowing team's captain in her senior year in 2017/18, and received the university's Frederick W. 'Doc' Marvel 1894 Award for rowing. The award is given to one male and one female student-athlete who embody excellence in scholarship and athletic performance.
