He runs Tufte Gard, a farm in Nykirke, Norway. He has also founded Tufte Wear, a clothing company selling products made from bamboo. "Tufte has always been a family farm. I have some good help from my dad who runs the farm when I'm not home. My wife Aina runs events and my mother is the secretary. The children help where they can when needed. I grew up on the farm, and have always been involved in the work there. That's how I became interested in being a farmer. From an early age, I worked at the farm and thought it was fun. I also do a lot of physical work because I like it, it's good exercise and often faster than using machines."
