General Interest

General
SURPRISE SINGLES WORLD TITLE
In 2018 just before the European Championships in Glasgow, Scotland, her teammate in the women's lightweight double sculls Claire Bove had to withdraw at the last minute due to health issues. Tarantola competed in the lightweight single sculls instead, using a boat borrowed from fellow French rower Helene Lefebvre, and went on to win a silver medal in a photo finish. Bove also had to pull out of the 2018 World Championships in Plovdiv, Bulgaria, the following month, so Tarantola decided to compete in the lightweight single sculls there as well, and won a gold medal. "I enjoyed winning this world title, even if what I really love in the sport is sharing the emotions with a crewmate." (gre-mag.fr, 31 Oct 2018; ouest-france.fr, 05 Aug 2018)

FURTHER EDUCATION
In 2015 she obtained a technological diploma in law from the Technological University Institute of Grenoble, France. She then entered the Management School of Grenoble [GEM], where she gained a diploma in marketing and commerce. She also has a master's degree in management from the Institute of Sport and Management at GEM. (en-alumni.grenoble-em.com, 10 Jan 2019; LinkedIn profile, 2018)

OCCUPATION
In December 2019 she joined the French National Railway Society [SNCF] as an athlete-employee. She is a deputy chief in charge of a project working on life quality within the company. "It's great to have a partnership and a long-time job while continuing training. It gives me the chance to have security in terms of employment and it also allows me to step into the working world." (lessor38.fr, 31 Jul 2020; Twitter profile, 17 Jun 2020; sncf.com, 01 Feb 2020)
