Although she began with artistic gymnastics, she was told she was better suited to rhythmic gymnastics and decided to switch disciplines. RETIREMENT THOUGHTS
She says that she may retire from the sport after the 2020 Olympic Games in Tokyo, and that she has begun planning for a future career. "I'll see how it goes in Tokyo. For now I am imagining both scenarios, I could stop after the Games or continue a little longer. I don't want to find myself empty-handed when all this is over. We are not football players and this life [as a gymnast], which leaves you full of emotion, unfortunately leaves you little in your pocket. I enrolled at university [in] communications, and I also hope to be able to carve out a role in the sports field or a military career with the Italian Air Force."
