Her mother encouraged her and took her to the gym. "I can't say that it took much from me, other than the free time the other kids spent playing games, which I spent in the gym. But on the other hand, sports really do a lot. The opportunity to travel the world, fill the halls wherever we go, make the audience happy. These are emotions that very few people can experience. In 2019 she and her Bulgarian teammates Laura Traets, Madlen Radukanova, Stephanie Kiryakova and Erika Zafirova were named Team of the Year at the Bulgarian Sportsperson of the Year awards after they won a silver and a bronze medal at the 2019 World Championships in Baku, Azerbaijan.
