General Interest

General
PSYCHOLOGICAL TRAINING
She used to consult psychologist Jean Paul Pes, who helped her parents during their running careers. She has also worked with psychologist Meriem Salmi. "I work with [psychologists] because at the Olympic Games the mental factor counts for 80% of the competition. You need to know how to handle your emotions in the shooting section, where only two fingers can make the difference. You learn how not to crack under the pressure and be more relaxed. It's a question of feeling and with Meriem the tide went straight away. It's a matter of trust, and as far as I'm concerned, I admit it's the best." (humanite.fr, 04 Jan 2016; olympics.com, 04 Aug 2020; ouest-france.fr, 08 Jun 2021; leprogres.fr, 28 Apr 2021)

DANCE TRAINING
She and her partner, fellow modern pentathlete Valentin Belaud, complement their training with dance coach Armelle Van Eecloo. "Thanks to our dance coach, we save energy on every single move and gesture. Every athlete trains hard and improves a lot, but we can go further in our training by eliminating the parasitical elements," Belaud said. (tokyo2020.org, 14 Feb 2021; olympics.com, 04 Aug 2020)
