CHOOSING ALGERIA
Despite being born in France and first representing the French team, she decided to switch to Algeria in 2014 to fulfil her mother's wish and because of conflict with the French team after 2012. "When I was three years old, I started doing gymnastics and people said I was very talented. My mother told me that she would like me to be in the Algerian team. I also wanted to pursue a career in sport and realise my dreams. I was in the France team throughout my youth. But there was a point when the selections didn't come, for no reason. For example, I was not selected for the 2012 World Championships in Paris. It was for everything except for sporting considerations because in 2012 I won everything, including the World University Championships. With Algeria, I have no pressure. On the contrary. I know they are always behind me. I like being without external pressure because I already put pressure on myself to do very well." (dzairworld.com, 28 Jun 2021; fisu.net, 02 Apr 2020; rfi.fr, 01 Nov 2018)

OCCUPATION
Alongside her karate commitments, she has worked as a substitute kindergarten teacher in Sarcelles, France. (lemag.seinesaintdenis.fr, 11 May 2020)
