CHARITY WORK
During the COVID-19 pandemic he worked with an aid organisation and campaigned on social media to provide meals, housing, and schooling for people in need. He travelled around the Islamic Republic of Iran to help distribute the aid. "When we stopped the competitions because of the pandemic, I did not need to train as hard as I used to, and it did me good because I needed to rest. Then, I had time to think things over, and I realised that there was nothing better for me to do than helping others. It was a great experience for me. Before the pandemic, all we cared about was winning a medal or qualifying for the Olympics. The pandemic and the opportunity to help has made our perspective more open and let us focus on other things. I hope I can make the most of this precious experience. It is important to remember that many of our compatriots live in difficult conditions. The result is an appreciation for what we have." (wkf.net, 14 Mar 2021; mehrnews.com, 22 Nov 2020)
