Winning gold in the -70kg category at the 2019 African Championships in Cape Town, South Africa. "This is my first title on a continental scale, so it was a very special moment for me. In 2017 and 2018, I won two bronze medals consecutively. I failed at the last moments. This time around, I entered the competition with the firm intention of winning the gold medal I had long dreamed of. I am therefore very satisfied with this title. IMPROVED MENTALITY
After winning bronze medals at the two previous editions of the tournament, she says her improved mentality helped her secure gold in the -70kg category at the 2019 African Championships in Cape Town, South Africa. "It was my mentality that made the difference. In this competition [in 2019], I really had the desire, the rage. As I climbed onto the mat I was focused, I knew I had the cards in hand. I have already had competitions where I got knocked out and where I had regrets. Here, I told myself that if I lost, the preparation and the work would not be at fault.
