Her sister Monkhbaataryn Bundmaa has represented Mongolia in judo and sambo wrestling. She competed in judo at the Olympic Games in 2008 and 2012 and won women's team silver at the 2014 World Championships in Chelyabinsk, Russian Federation and bronze in the -52kg category at the 2010 World Championships in Tokyo, Japan.
