She began judo at age six. She also rode horses as a child and was a ballet dancer from age four. "I did all three for a while. She followed her brother into the sport. "Even when I was little, I quickly became enthusiastic about judo. My big brother started doing sports and I always watched judo back then. So I really wanted to start judo, but had to wait until I was old enough.
