In 2017 he began studying for a degree in business law at Ryutsu Keizai University in Ryugasaki, Japan. "I was offered a scholarship for four years to study in Japan and I am thankful for this opportunity. My sport is big in Japan. I could've trained in other places, but the connection was already built here in Japan. My older brother also went to school in Japan, he studied the same thing as me. He was the one that opened the door for me, as well as my other older brothers that came here before me."
