SUPPORT FROM SISTER
Her younger sister Maria Jose has been a member of the national team since 2015. She says Maria Jose's presence on the team helped her adjust when she was called up to the squad for the first time in 2019. Both sisters played at the 2019 Pan American Games in Lima, Peru, including in the final where Argentina won gold. "I was with my sisters on holiday when I found out I had been called up to the national team. I didn't really understand at first. I had been looking for my name for years on that list, and the first time I didn't bother to look, my name appears. My life changed at that moment, but it was easier with my sister being on the team. She helped me in the training sessions, with my eating, and the physical workouts. It's a long process, but having a family member there as reference makes it easier."
