During 2019 she suffered from anxiety and panic attacks to the point where she contemplated pulling out of the Olympic qualifiers and Africa championships later in the year. "In 2019 I burnt the candle at both ends and soon found myself dealing the consequences of neglecting mental health. l was lucky I had family, friends and staff who backed me and helped me pull through it.
