He was an assistant coach with the Austrian men's hockey team between 2017 and 2018. In 2017 he was an assistant coach for the South African men and women's hockey teams at the African Cup of Nations. He worked as a sports science manager and hockey coach for the Delhi Waveriders in the Hockey India League [HIL] for four seasons. He was head coach of the South African U21 women's hockey team between 2017 and 2018, having previously coached the U18 team between 2014 and 2017. He was also head coach of the University of Johannesburg women's hockey team between 2013 and 2016.

In March 2020 he founded the RVG Academy in South Africa. The company provides online training programmes and courses, hockey mats, and coaching tutorials via a platform on his website.
