He is also head coach of the St John's College boys hockey team in Johannesburg, South Africa, since 2017.

He has worked for the South African Hockey Association since 2004 in a variety of roles including selector, video analyst, team manager, and high performance trainer. He has also served as assistant coach to the South African men's senior team on a number of occasions, including at the 2014 and 2018 World Cups, and head coach of the U21 men's team. At university level, from 2010 to 2012 he served in assistant coaching roles to the women's teams at Northeastern University and the University of North Carolina, both in the United States of America. Before that he served in assistant and head coach roles to the men's and women's teams at the University of Johannesburg from 1999 to 2009, and has coached at high school and provincial level in South Africa.
