General Interest

General
RIO HEARTBREAK
She missed the 2016 Olympic Games in Rio de Janeiro due to an injury she suffered shortly before the start of the Games. "I'm not going to lie, I lived it very badly, especially since the girls had an excellent result [France won silver]. These Games [2020 in Tokyo], despite everything, are still going to be quite bizarre. With the new restrictions there will be no audience and life in the village will be, I think, totally different from the previous Olympic Games. So it will be a mixed feeling because you live the Games but you do not live them fully. I want the joy and the will to live in the moment to take over. I want to fully enjoy it because this event may not happen again [for me] and I don't want to have regrets." (ablock.fr, 15 Jul 2021)

TEAM CAPTAIN
In June 2021 it was announced that she would replace the injured Siraba Dembele-Pavlovic as France's team captain at the 2020 Olympic Games in Tokyo. "I was very, very surprised because I am not the most capped nor the most experienced in the France team. For me, it was unexpected, I thought I was dreaming. I'll have to manage myself and manage the group, but I knew how to do it with Brest [her club] and, even if it's not quite the same thing, there are similarities. That's why I took the liberty of taking on this challenge and we'll see what happens." (ablock.fr, 15 Jul 2021; lesportaufeminin.fr, 25 Jun 2021)
