In June 2019 he was elected president of the French players union, the Association of Professional Handball Players. "I have always wanted to give back to handball what it brought me. Since I was little, I have always liked to give my opinion. My desire is for the sport to get better and better, and for everyone to benefit." After being elected to the position, he launched the campaign 'Don't play the players', which called for changes to the handball schedule and a reduction in the number of matches per season in France. "There is a lack of respect for the players and their physical integrity. The 2019 World Cup and then the resumption of competitions crystallized the problems, the too busy schedule, and the resulting injuries. During the World Cup, we identified 23 serious injuries, rupture of the cruciate ligaments, muscle tears. In my opinion, it is difficult to justify that we play so much."
