General Interest

General
EMOTIONAL VICTORY
She says wining gold at the 2020 European Championship in Denmark was an emotional victory following the death of her father in February 2019. "My father passed away two years ago. He was with me at all the championships I have competed at. So I was just thinking about him and that he would have been very proud of me, and of us all. That was what I thought about, so it got a little emotional. Before matches, I always had to see where my mum and dad were sitting. Now, instead, I close my eyes and think about him." (tv2.no, 20 Dec 2020)

BOOK
In October 2020 she published her autobiography titled 'Camilla - Without Filter'. "I have always been an open person. I haven't had a filter. But there is a lot that people don't know about me outside the handball court." (vg.no, 24 Jul 2020, 22 Oct 2020)

RETURN TO NORWAY
After spending three seasons playing abroad for clubs in Romania, Denmark and North Macedonia, she decided to return to Norway and join Sola HK ahead of the 2017/18 season. Her husband Steffen returned to Norway first and in 2020 he was appointed head coach of Sola HK. "Steffen [her husband] lived with me for some months in Skopje [North Macedonia]. Then he got an offer from a team that was just 30 minutes away from where my family lives [in Norway]. I felt like I didn't want to be stuck alone. At that time, I decided it was enough for me and I wanted to come home. Family comes first, without a doubt. It has worked well with Sola and I don't regret it at all. Now I have Steffen as a coach and I have never seen him so often as I do now." (eurohandball.com, 30 Apr 2020; tv2.no, 27 Oct 2020)
