She began to question her future in the sport after experiencing knee injuries in 2015. She opted not to undergo surgery on her knees, instead choosing a course of platelet-rich plasma [PRP] therapy treatment in 2017, which she says has improved her physical condition. "I was very close to giving up, I had two seasons where I almost didn't play any handball games at such a young age. "It is great to feel like an athlete again [since PRP treatment] and not constantly thinking about 'surviving' every workout and rehab during the summer holidays. I have also grown up, I know my body better and I am more patient. Now I am a top athlete and not recovering athlete. It has been the biggest upswing." (smp.no, 11 Nov 2020)
