General Interest

General
RETURN TO NORWAY
After playing abroad in Hungary and Romania for four seasons, she returned to Norway in June 2020 and joined Vipers Kristiansand ahead of the 2020/21 Eliteserien season. She says she was motivated to return to Norway in order to be closer to her family after her mother was diagnosed with cancer. "It came very abruptly. At the same time, there was no doubt that this was what I wanted to do. It is not normal to sign a contract in June. So I'm incredibly grateful that they could fit me in. The alternative was to break a contract and just stay in Norway." (tv2.no, 20 Nov 2020)

TOUGH TIMES
In 2020 she spoke about how the hacking of her personal phone and subsequent release of private images in 2017 impacted her mental health. "My life has changed a lot. I have gone from feeling good to feeling that my self-confidence has disappeared. Every day I have toiled, it's tough to deal with. I do not think people understand what it does to a person. I've had to work on myself. I have regularly visited a psychologist and it has gone beyond my whole life, both mentally and physically. I have also been hospitalised, been depressed and have had social anxiety. These are things I have had to work on. I don't know if I've become a stronger person, but I have been exposed to a lot and have had to work with myself more than before." (nidaros.no, 02 Mar 2020; olympicchannel.com, 21 Dec 2020)

HANDBALL FAMILY
Her parents played handball and introduced her and her sisters to the sport. Growing up, her parents had a key to the local sporting complex so the family could play handball any time they wanted outside of normal opening hours. Her mother Tiril also coached youth teams that Mork and her sisters played on. (vg.no, 31 Dec 2010; dagbladet.no, 16 Dec 2010; handballmagasinet.no, 2009)
