He began playing golf at age five. (noelsutabutr.wordpress.com, 25 Nov 2012)
:
"It all started when my dad bought me a set of plastic golf clubs for my fifth birthday, but I never really took it seriously until I was seven. Then he bought me another set of golf clubs, this time graphite and I competed against other schools and I was thinking about quitting at the age of about 10 because I was playing quite well and it was kind of easy. However, there is so much more about golf than what you're seeing out there and that's why I continued playing until now. Golf is a unique in a way that you need to be honest. It's an individual sport. You're the one who produces the result. Unlike other team sports like soccer, where you have to depend on your team mates as well." (noelsutabutr.wordpress.com, 25 Nov 2012)

"I think persistence is the key to getting myself this far. Even though you have the talent or the gift, it doesn't mean you are going to be successful." (noelsutabutr.wordpress.com, 25 Nov 2012)

General Interest

General
FATHERHOOD
He says the birth of his first child Vera in 2020 has made him more relaxed on the course. "It has made a big difference to my life. I have always been pretty introverted, just happy staying home, but now I am going out and seeing the world. I don't get to practice so much but it does take my mind off the golf game a bit. If I get a chance I can check my swing in a mirror. It has really helped to relax myself a bit. My mentality before was I never really appreciated the small things in my life, but now I do and I feel very happy. And all the happy little things add up so when I am on the course I feel very relaxed. Just in my own comfort zone. To perform well, you have to find your own comfort zone, to perform at your best." (asiantour.com, 24 Sep 2020)

GOLF COURSE
His family runs Kirinara Golf Course in Khao Lak, Thailand. "My dad built me a three-hole course [speaking in 2014]. My game improved a lot after playing there. Originally he only built one hole but he has expanded it. There are no distractions, I can concentrate on improving my game." (Facebook profile, 15 May 2021; hotgolfclub.com, 22 Jul 2020; golftime.co.th, 01 May 2020; sports247.my, 14 Apr 2014)

TURNING PROFESSIONAL
He turned professional at age 19 because he thought he would be unable to advance his golf career in the Thai amateur scene. "I turned pro at 19 and I don't think 19 is considered as a young age anymore. There are a lot of younger professionals out there. Some turned pro when they were 15 or 16. I turned pro because after graduating from my high school there was nothing much to achieve in amateur golf especially if you are playing in Thailand. There are not many big tournaments, so I moved forward and turned professional." (noelsutabutr.wordpress.com, 25 Nov 2012)
