Her uncle took her to a golf course for the first time. "I loved it and right away I asked my mother to enroll me in a course, even though the teacher said I was very young. I liked the challenge of hitting the ball, although many times it failed." (expreso.ec, 03 Nov 2019)

General Interest

General
COLLEGIATE CAREER, TURNING PRO
She decided to forgo the remainder of her senior year [2016/17] at the University of Miami in United States of America after she earned LPGA Tour partial status by finishing joint 29th at the 2016 LPGA Final Qualifying Tournament in Daytona Beach, FL, United States of America. She earned her full card for the LPGA Tour in 2019. "I obtained a conditional card, in 2017 and another, in 2018, through Q-School or qualifying school. Conditional means that you can only play some tournaments. And in 2018, playing with the conditional card, I did well, I was within the top 100 and that earned me a full card [for 2019]." RETIREMENT THOUGHTS
She says she considered retiring from the sport after moving from Ecuador to attend the University of Miami in United States of America. "I had a lot of pressure from my coach and the relationship with her was not good. Being on the field was torture and several times I thought that maybe I could study and be a normal person. Finally I decided to separate what was happening with golf and little by little everything improved. Now I am grateful for having continued because if I had given up, nothing would be the same."
