After she graduated from Louisiana State University in 2015 and turned professional, she says she initially struggled with the transition, but that mentoring from Swedish golfer Robert Karlsson helped her adapt to professional golf. "I was in a four-year bubble of security at college. You can't really know how somebody is going to do when they get out of that bubble and turn pro. All the grown-up things were hard. He [Karlsson] has helped me learn how to believe in myself. It doesn't matter how much other people believe in you, unless you believe in yourself."
