EUROPEAN TOUR CARD
After turning professional in 2011, he played on the Pro Golf Tour [European third tier] for a number of years before finishing fifth on the 2019 Order of Merit, thus earning a card on the Challenge Tour for 2020. In November 2020 he won back-to-back events on the Challenge Tour, first the Andalucia Challenge de Espana in Cadiz, Spain, which qualified him for the season-ending Challenge Tour Grand Final in Mallorca, Spain, which he also won. The wins earned him a card on the European Tour for 2021. He had previously contemplated retiring from the sport, but changed his mind after meeting his future wife Michaela in 2016. "It's really emotional for me [to win the 2020 Challenge Tour Grand Final]. The two putts I holed on 17 and 18 were unbelievable. Four years ago [speaking in 2020], when I met my wife, my life just turned around. I was close to stopping playing, I wasn't going to play anymore. With her and with the girls at home, it just turned around. It's not even my win, it's mostly her win. She gives me the strength, especially mentally, to hold it together."
