After he missed the 2020 Puerto Rico Open due to injury, at the 2021 edition he finished in a tie for third place, which was his first top-five finish on the PGA Tour. He has competed at the Puerto Rico Open 12 out of 13 times it has been held, with two more top-10 finishes in 2016 and 2017, and holds an ambition to win the event. "This tournament, it's absolutely huge. We thrive on tourism, and the Puerto Rico Open is a time to showcase the island, one of the biggest opportunities we have. It hopefully makes golfers realise that we have some nice golf courses, and that Puerto Rico is a nice travel destination.
