OLYMPIC EXPERIENCE
Despite enjoying her experience at the 2016 Olympic Games in Rio de Janeiro, she says she was too focused on the experience and not on her performance in the golf tournament. She plans to change her approach at the 2020 Olympic Games in Tokyo. "They are indelible memories. [The 2016 Olympic Games in Rio de Janeiro] was my first Games, and I, who loves sport and follow practically all Spaniards, really enjoyed myself and it may be that I did not focus enough on myself, my golf and having a good week. Now I see that I could have done it differently. I had an incredible time, I saw [Spanish tennis players] Rafael Nadal and Marc Lopez win gold, basketball, and many other disciplines. As for golf, I started very well, but I didn't finish so well. These are things I have to learn from. If I go again, I will focus more on myself, on having a good week and on competing as well as possible." (rfegolf.es, 09 Feb 2021)
