After her father Petr retired from playing tennis professionally he began to play golf as a hobby and she followed him into the sport. As a teenager she realised she wanted to be a professional golfer. "I was 15 years old, playing in my first US Women's Open [2008], and I was absolutely star-struck. We got so much swag at registration. I was like, 'Whoa, is it like this every week?' It's not. The crowds, signing autographs hole-to-hole. I worked so hard every year just to qualify for the US Women's Open again." (golfdigest.com, 23 Nov 2020)

FAMILY SUPPORT
She says she and her siblings Nelly and Sebastian regularly keep in touch about their professional sporting careers and support each other. "We all communicate every day. We call it 'The Trio'. Being professional athletes, you know what they're feeling the night before a big match or round. You're more just there to distract each other. If I want to talk to Nelly about being super nervous, she'll say, 'You'll be fine. You know the weather, you know the course'. She'll just go through it with me. Or, we'll be like, 'Did you see these cute shoes?' Or with our brother, 'Did you see this meme?' We're all there for each other, even if it's a simple, 'No matter what, I'm always proud of you'." She also seeks advice from her parents, both of whom played tennis professionally. "A lot of the time it's bouncing ideas around. Like, 'Mentally, I lost it between this and this hole. What are your thoughts?'" (golfdigest.com, 23 Nov 2020)

EARLY LIFE
Born in Bradenton, FL, United States of America, she spent her childhood living in the Czech Republic up until age 15, moving back to her country of birth in 2008. (golfmonthly.com, 10 Mar 2021; femalefirst.co.uk, 15 Feb 2021; golfdigest.com, 23 Nov 2020)
