Her father Petr Korda played tennis professionally and won the Australian Open singles title in 1998. Her mother Regina Kordova [nee Rajchrtova] was also a professional tennis player, and represented Czechoslovakia at the 1988 Olympic Games in Seoul. Her younger sister Nelly Korda has played golf professionally on the LPGA Tour, and her brother Sebastian Korda has played professional tennis, reaching the fourth round at Wimbledon in 2021. As a teenager she realised she wanted to be a professional golfer. "I was 15 years old, playing in my first US Women's Open [2008], and I was absolutely star-struck. We got so much swag at registration. I was like, 'Whoa, is it like this every week?' It's not. The crowds, signing autographs hole-to-hole.
