CHANGE OF POSITION
He began his career as a central defender, but decided to focus on a central midfield role after playing in the position at the 2016 Olympic Games in Rio de Janeiro. "I always wanted to play overseas as a centre back. After I played as a central midfielder at the 2016 Olympic Games in Rio de Janeiro, I thought that I would have more chances to go overseas after switching to that position. When I signed for STVV, the club also wanted me to focus on being a central midfielder." (Soccer King YouTube channel, 21 Jun 2019)
