Her mother Miki represented Japan in fencing and competed at the world junior championships. Her younger sister Sera has also represented Japan in fencing and won team gold medals in women's foil at the 2019 Asian Championships in Tokyo, Japan and at the 2018 Asian Games in Indonesia.
