Her sister Amelie Ebert has represented Germany in artistic swimming. She finished ninth in the mixed duet free routine at the 2017 World Championships in Budapest, Hungary. Her brother Constantin Ebert has played basketball in the German Bundesliga and spent the 2020/21 season with third division side BBC Coburg. SPORTING SIBLINGS
She was one of three siblings, alongside brother Constantin [basketball] and sister Amelie [artistic swimming], who took part in sport as a child. She attributes their success at elite level to her mother, and paid for her to go on holiday after winning gold at the 2015 Cadet World Championships in Tashkent, Uzbekistan. "My brother and sister were always my role models. We did three different sports to a high level and provided mutual support for each other. My mother had her hands full with the three of us. It started with my sister at five in the morning when she went to training, then me, then my brother. The trip with me lasted two hours per day, and then she had her job on top of that. When I won the world championships, I was lucky enough to earn some prize money, so I paid for my mother to go to the Maldives. She has sacrificed so much for us." (FIE Fencing Channel, 18 Jul 2019)

SPORTS SOLDIER
She joined the German armed forces [Bundeswehr] as a sports soldier to enable her to continue studying and competing. "It was clear that I would have to go to the Bundeswehr after school if I wanted to continue to pursue fencing as a competitive sport.
