His grandfather Roland Perret represented Switzerland in eventing at the 1956 Olympic Games in Stockholm. His mother Daniele competed in the Swiss equestrian championships in 1980. His brothers Ben and Christian have also competed in eventing at international level, and Ben represented Switzerland in the individual competition at the 2016 Olympic Games in Rio de Janeiro. UNITED STATES EXPERIENCE
In 2018 he spent time competing in the United States of America so he could qualify for the 2018 World Equestrian Games [WEG] in Tryon, NC, United States of America. His aunt Nadine Beck convinced him to make the move and he was initially based with her in Wellington, Florida, before moving on to Aiken, South Carolina. He relocated to Germany in April 2019.
