His sister-in-law Lesley McNaught-Mandli has represented Switzerland in equestrian jumping. She was part of the Swiss squad that won a silver medal in the team event at the 2000 Olympic Games in Sydney. His niece Melanie Mandli is also a jumper at national level. MOVE TO THE UNITED STATES OF AMERICA
In 2013 he relocated from Switzerland to the United States of America. While his main base is in North Salem, New York, he spends the northern hemisphere summers competing in Europe and the winters in Wellington, Florida. In 2014 he started working as personal coach to US jumper Katie Dinan. "For me, both New York and Wellington have their appeal - I feel comfortable in both places." OLYMPIC COACHING
