His father Hani Bisharat has represented Jordan in equestrian jumping, and placed 20th in the individual event at the 2006 Asian Games in Doha, Qatar. He also established the Arabian Horse Club in Jordan. His cousin Maysam Bisharat has also competed in the sport at an elite level.
