His father Justo represented Argentina in equestrian jumping at the Olympic Games in 1984 and 1996, while his brother Alvaro has competed in the sport in World Cup events. His uncle Gonzalo Albarracin has served as coach of the La Plata Rugby Club, which competes in the Buenos Aires Province championship in Argentina. His cousin Francisco Albarracin has played as scrum-half for the team, while his other cousins Rodrigo Lambre and Santiago Lambre have competed in equestrian jumping for Brazil and Mexico, respectively.
