"The harmony of the horse and the rider is what makes the sport fascinating. Equestrian is the only sport you compete with an animal, and in which women and men compete together. Also, it is very gratifying to see that your animal is learning from you. I would like to show people that the sport is not just those five minutes of presentation, but the years you spend teaching the horse to do those moves. And the most satisfying thing is to see the evolution of your companion." (porforadaspistas.com.br, 19 Jul 2017)
:
In 2014, 2015, 2016, 2017, and 2018 he was named Dressage Rider of the Year by the Brazilian Olympic Committee [COB]. (cbh.org.br, 15 Nov 2018; porforadaspistas.com.br, 28 Mar 2018, 04 Mar 2017)

In July 2014 he moved to Moehnesee, Germany to train with coach Norbert van Laak. In 2019 he relocated to Dusseldorf to start training alongside Portuguese rider Maria Caetano and her father Paulo Caetano. In 2020 he relocated to Portugal. "I switched to Portugal because I wanted to compete here as a strategy. My horse was to be better received here as he is a Lusitano. So, he would compete against other Lusitanos. That's why I decided to come here."
