She grew up on her family's farm and has been riding since she was a small child. "At the beginning I would rather play with the horses. I did vaulting for a time, which was a lot of fun. To me, eventing means confidence, action and fun. In our sport the interaction between rider and horse is great. When you reach the finish line [of the cross-country], there is an incomparable feeling that you cannot experience in other equestrian sports."
