RETIREMENT PLANS
She plans to retire after the 2020 Olympic Games in Tokyo. "I've always set one goal after another throughout my career, that keeps me going. I'm driven to compete in my fifth Olympics [in 2020], I know I can still do it. I have a personal goal, and that's to end my career with an Olympic medal. That's the only medal missing from my trophy cabinet. It's going to be very special to go for my fifth Olympics as nobody [representing Malaysia] has done it before. I will retire whether I make it to the Games or not. I would love to start my own diving academy. Many parents are keen to send their children for diving lessons, but they don't know where to go. I always wanted to give back to the sport and play a part in its development." FURTHER EDUCATION
In 2019 she began studying for a master's degree in corporate communications at the University of Putra Malaysia [UPM]. A year later she decided to put her studies on hold to focus on the Olympic Games in Tokyo. "Believe it or not, I only graduated with a bachelor's degree in 2017. I love studying and I decided to go for my master's in 2019. But then the 2020 Olympic Games was pushed back a year and so I had to postpone my studies in order to prioritise the Olympic preparations."
