She started in gymnastics and transitioned into diving. "I quit gymnastics because I felt I had reached a level that I would be hard-pressed to exceed. One day, I went to see my twin sister at her swimming training with the CBPM in Rennes. That day, [French diver] Fanny Bouvet was training. I was blown away. I immediately said to myself, 'I want to do this!' I also believe that as a former gymnast, the conversion was probably easier on the platform than on the springboards." (ffnatation.fr, 11 May 2021)
