General Interest

General
Canada have competed at the two editions of the Olympic Games to feature women's team pursuit, winning bronze in both 2012 and 2016. They finished just 0.181s ahead of Australia in the bronze medal final at London 2012, but were almost four seconds faster than New Zealand at Rio 2016.

The Canadians have competed at each edition of the world championships since 2010. They have claimed two silver medals and three bronze during that period, which all came at consecutive tournaments between 2012 and 2016. The team have been ranked fourth at the last three championships, losing the bronze medal race to Italy in 2018, New Zealand in 2019, and Germany in 2020.

Canada have claimed two gold medals at the Pan American Games, beating Cuba and the US team in the gold medal final in 2011 and 2015, respectively. They were unable to win their third title at the 2019 Games in Lima, with the United States of America quicker by more than three-and-a-half seconds in the gold medal race.
