Rushlee Buchanan and Jessie Hodges are competing in madison together at a major tournament for the first time at the 2020 Olympic Games in Tokyo.

Both athletes are medallists at the Oceania championships but secured their podium finishes as part of a separate pairing. Buchanan claimed bronze at the tournament in 2017 and 2018 with Racquel Sheath and Michaela Drummond, respectively, while Hodges won silver with Drummond in 2019.
