Lisa Klein and Franziska Brausse began competing together in 2019, and finished 10th at that year's edition of the European championships. They recorded another 10th-place finish at the 2020 World Championships in Berlin.

Brausse was eligible to compete at the 2020 U23 European Championships in Fiorenzuola d'Arda, Italy, where she won the silver medal with Lea Lin Teutenberg.
