Matthew Walls and Ethan Hayter won gold as a pair at the 2018 U23 European Championships in Montichiari, Italy.

Both athletes have competed at senior international tournaments with other riders. Hayter partnered Oliver Wood at the world championships in 2019 and 2020, placing seventh and ninth respectively, while Walls and Wood finished eighth at the 2019 European Championships in Apeldoorn before recording a DNF at the 2020 edition of the tournament.
