He practised football, athletics, and swimming when he was younger, but was inspired to pursue track cycling after watching Trinidadian Njisane Phillip compete at the 2012 Olympic Games in London. In preparation for the 2020 Olympic Games in Tokyo, he trained on the velodrome at the UCI World Cycling Centre [WCC] in Aigle, Switzerland. "I love training with this group. Off the bike we're friends. Once we get on the bike, we're still friends but not as much! That's what I love about our group.
