Coach Alain Midelet encouraged her to try track cycling. "It was him who pushed me to the track. He told me, 'You'll ride on a track bike, you have no other option.' When you are in the minor ranks, the track is frightening. It's not like everybody wanted to practise it, like cyclo-cross. He put me on the track and I've never left since."
