She began cycling in 2009 before pursuing mountain biking in 2011. (worldofmtb.de, 01 Jun 2019)
:
"I've always been very active, tried some sports until I finally got stuck in cycling. I came to cycling through my father, who took part in the Albstadt Bike Marathon every year. In the summer of 2009, a children's race was also organised, in which I then took part and landed on the podium. In the same year we became members of the association RSG Zollernalb and I rode road bikes for the time being. The following year I also tried mountain biking and realised that I enjoyed it more, and so from 2011 I only rode mountain bikes." (worldofmtb.de, 01 Jun 2019)
