"A friend of my father, who was riding, told me to come and try. And that was it. I think BMX is really the school of cycling, and as a kid you can only appreciate it - you make friends, you have fun and on weekends, you compete. That's everything I love." (theriderpost.com, 12 Jun 2017)

THIRD TIME LUCKY
He was named as France's first reserve for BMX racing at both the 2012 and 2016 Olympic Games, which he says has increased his desire to win a medal at the 2020 Olympic Games in Tokyo. "It wasn't really tough to watch the games, I'm a BMX fan, and I love to watch the races, whether I'm competing or not. Of course it hurts, but there are worse things in life to be sad about. At the end of the day, it's just a bike race. Unless you win it, your life is most likely going to remain the same. My motivation to go to Tokyo is very, very, high. It's basically my last shot at going to the Games after being a reserve twice, and I am really looking forward to these Games, because now I know I can do something and actually grab a medal. That's not me being cocky, but because I have done it before." (olympics.com, 20 Apr 2020; bmxweekly.com, 25 Sep 2017)
