LIVING ABROAD
He moved from Japan to Switzerland in 2012 to train under coach Thomas Allier at the UCI World Cycling Centre in Aigle, Switzerland. In 2016 he also spent time living in California, United States of America, before returning to Switzerland. TRACK CYCLING
He took up track cycling in 2016 to increase his strength for BMX racing, which remains his focus for the 2020 Olympic Games in Tokyo. "I started track cycling when I was based at the UCI World Cycling Centre. We trained sometimes on the velodrome. The people are different, the bike is different.
