MOVE TO BERLIN
At age 17 she left Flenburg, Germany to move to Berlin for access to better quality training facilities. "On my first day, I asked myself, 'How did I end up here?' I've seen all the athletes around me who have been single-minded in their career plan. You can get dizzy. There I learned to tough my way through. This phase was extremely important to me."
