CHANGE OF APPROACH
She had focused on competing in the K1 event since 2012 and contemplated retiring after missing out on participation at the Olympic Games in both 2012 and 2016. However, when fellow Hungarian sprint paddlers Tamara Csipes and Danusia Kozak took maternity breaks in 2017, she decided to fill in for them in the K2 and K4 events. "I wasn't doing well in the national team. I gave the demands a little lower, I didn't believe in myself then. I thought I couldn't lose anymore, that's all I got from kayaking. Then Dana and Tami went to give birth, and the fact that the field was a little empty gave me a little impetus. I had to learn that I was the most important in my life, and even though I was loyal to others, it was not always rewarding for me.
